Somthing odd happened recently. A woman was sinking into a bottomless bog and in desperate need of rescue. That’s actually not odd at all. That happens all the time around here. Then someone heard her calls and actually came to help. That’s not quite as common, but still not all that unusual for this place. Her would-be rescuer dared venture into the muddy terrain to get close enough to reach the trapped woman with her branch. That’s quite risky without taking further precautions to avoid getting stuck yourself. Apparently though the girl with the branch was more worried about some other risk as she held it out with a facial mask dangling from it and said “Here, put this on first!”
