Petunia’s Perspective ¶

I didn’t really expect to find much of anything on this, uhh… let’s just call it an ‘excursion’ for now. I’ve been staying at the Great Swamp for basically a couple of weeks now. I feel like I’ve been going to the same places each day, as well. The same excursions to the Northern Peat Bogs, the Central Peat Bogs, the Mangrove Swamp, wherever the Bogsweeper surveys take Danica and me. There are a few times, like today, where I just get to be alone in the swamp, able to be accompanied by my own thoughts. No tour guides praddling on about where to go, where not to go, what will kill me out here, what won’t kill me, lots of things that are just basic common sense that most people supposedly just lack, I guess. Huh. Maybe I should be a tour guide! I mean, when I give presentations at NatureLight, I’ve been told that I’m really good at them.

Mangrove Swamp ¶

“Mmmmph… Petunia, have I ever told you how sexy that outfit is on you?”

Danica giggled, staring at her dark-skinned partner’s shapely butt, which was complemented by her bright, blue jeans, along with how her white crop top (which only had a sleeve on the woman’s right arm) and black bra supported Petunia’s ample bosom. All the while, the two surveyors continued to meander through the dark, twisting mangroves, the latter holding the last of the pair’s signs that read ‘DANGER, QUICKSAND!’ as Petunia kept some of her attention on watching her step along the shallow, murky waters to respond properly.

Northern Peat Bogs ¶

It had been about a week since Petunia first arrived at the Great Swamp. In that time, she had gotten to know both the members of the Research and Development team, as well as the Bogsweeper team, quite well through each member’s collective goals and agendas. With Petunia’s physical prowess and her experience in exploring swamps, the Bogsweeper team was able to cover a wide expanse throughout both the Central Peat Bogs and Mangrove Swamp, placing signs down to ensure that there would be fewer casualties for unsuspecting travelers being swallowed up by the earth. On top of that, when she wasn’t out in the swamp with Danica or another Bogsweeper member, the dark-skinned researcher worked closely with Drs. Marcovics and Twostone in researching the chemical compounds of the peat that could be found in the Great Swamp, as well as providing comparisons between the Great Swamp’s soil and that of dirt from Petunia’s hometown.
