A female, middle age-looking cavewoman huntress stood in the middle of a humid, pre-historic swamp illuminated by the glow of the full moon within the humid night sky. She stands waist deep in brownish-green swamp mud observing a younger, red-headed cavewoman huntress who was close to half her age submerged and struggling to stay afloat in the same swamp mud a few feet away from her in a spot that was noticeably deeper than the position she was standing in. The redhead gurgled and sputtered loudly as she fought in vain to lift her face above the surface and take a lifesaving breath of air. She had so far sunk until only the top of her head and her arms thrashing and reaching for a lifeline were the only body parts visible above the surface and free of the mud’s sucking grasp, and she was continuing to sink downwards while bubbles frothed and popped furiously around her.

You feel the small seaplane you’re sitting in descend towards a lake in a valley located within a remote corner of Africa. As you look out the window at the approaching water and then towards the shore, you feel anticipation about seeing and documenting the various sights of this mysterious land almost untouched by modern civilization. Ever since you’ve heard rumors about the place known as The Great Swamp, you’ve always wanted to get the scoop on this strange location and why it isn’t as widely known among the international community as it could’ve been. When the international journalism firm you’re working for finally started offering an assignment for someone to document The Great Swamp and expose its existence to the wider world, you immediately jumped on the chance to volunteer for this job and collect enough information to write a descriptive editorial for them. You soon feel the seaplane land on the lake’s surface and drive towards an inconspicuous-looking boardwalk at the shore of a swampy-looking area. You couldn’t see much past the tall reeds rising from the shore, but you do see a glasses-wearing woman wearing a business-type dress walk out to meet the approaching plane.

Diana always wanted to spend some quality time with her daughter, Daisy before she would leave for her next college semester after the Christmas season. Daisy was currently majoring in environmental conservation and stability and just finished her freshmen semester at college. She had always been fascinated by how the biological diversity of the environment interacted lived symbiotically with each other and wanted to brainstorm ideas to conserve it for future generations and minimize the negative effects of human activity on the ecosystem.

Deep in the Amazon rainforest of Northern Brazil, two figures belonging to two beautiful women were walking down a light brown path in the jungle towards a clearing large enough to be an ideal spot for a campsite. The figures belonged to Diana, a 43-year old light-skinned American of Brazilian descent, and her daughter, Daisy, a 19-year old light-skinned girl who looked much like her mother, but had green eyes instead of blue, was wearing no lipstick, and was slightly shorter. They both wore differing styles of safari outfits for their expedition into the rainforest but were completely covered from head to toe in light-brown mud after escaping their earlier encounter with quicksand as they were walking to their campsite. Diana spoke after they reached their destination.

The month does not go out with a bang, but rather with a loud “Brrblblblblub plublblblplplb blubblebluplplublbl blblplpblbluplublblb!”. That is a direct quote from FastTquick’s story Big Swamp Game. It is my pleasure to announce that this story and 3 more of his can now be found in the archive here. You may have read them before on DeviantArt, but I am also gladly sharing them here. Maybe you have seen Cera and Eya from Big Swamp Game around here before, as well as Daisy Romano from Mother/Daughter Quicksand Bonding parts 1 and 2. The 4th story, Deadly Swamp Tour, is set in TGS and involves several staff members and introduces the reader to Tabitha. Thanks to FastTquick for writing all of these!

Daisy Romano as the Two of Diamonds

Today, I would like to introduce you to Daisy Romano. Maybe you have already heard of her and her adventure in the Amazon. If you have not, you can read all about it in FastTQuick’s story featuring Daisy and her mother Diana over at Deviant Art. Her prior experience with quicksand there could be vital to her continued well-being around here at TGS. Daisy is studying environmental conservation and stability at college. It seems that the local ecosystem of TGS has caught her interest. So she has come here to observe it all up close and personal.
While she will be out in the swamp, she has also kindly agreed to help make the place a little safer by testing the bog detector which the R&D team has recently developed. This means that Daisy is now a selectable character in Bogsweeper 0.5. Yes, there is a character selection now and it is not all up to Tabitha anymore. Take good care of Daisy as you guide her safely through the central peat bogs and mark all the deep spots. She also receives her place in my other game, TGS Solitaire. Here you can now find her on the Two of Diamonds.
