Before she began, Vanessa told me that she had been in real quicksand once, and even though she needed help back then,
it was almost much larger than this pit. She seemed quite confident and really had no idea what sort of special
mixture our researchers had come up with.

Two steps in she was already stuck and sinking rapidly. Vanesssa tried hard to get those legs free, but they soon disappeared entirely into the sticky mass. She leaned forward, trying to somehow drag herself up ahead. But there was nothing solid there to hold onto. The young woman’s torso was quickly being consumed by the quicksand. When she was to her ribs in it, she finally gave up and leaned back. Vanessa could actually still reach the solid ground on the side where she had entered. Tara helped her out anyway.
