Somehow I assumed jungle girls like Carol must have plenty of experience with quicksand in all its forms. But it appears I was wrong.
Carol in the Little Pit of Doom
She stepped in, squeeked loudly and immediately tried to turn around and get back out. But the quicksand had already trapped her feet. Carol struggled and panicked and rapidly sank deeper even though the edge of the pit was just behind her. Eventually Tara help the poor girl out.
I later heard that Carol normally lives in the jungle outside the valley where quicksand is virtually non-existant. She only knows it from her few visits to Shetani and the Great Swamp.
